TROPICAL STATION

Tropical Station is an experimental art-architectural project based on explorations of Peru's North Pacific tropical ecosystems as well as contact with Balinese culture and their traditional use of bamboo. The project envisions hybrid ways of living in a post-urban habitat. Temporary, handmade structures reinterpret traditional building techniques with local materials, aiming for minimum environmental impact. Art, design, and craft pieces are integrated in collaboration with artisans and communities.
